Why convert from old media?

• If you need to use your old data, but the media is not compatible with your new computer, we can transfer it to modern media to be compatible with modern platforms.

• Even if you don't need to use your old data right now, if you wish to preserve it, it is highly recommended that you transfer it to modern media. Magnetic media such as floppy disks and tapes have a lifetime of only one or two decades. We are now finding floppy disks and tapes that were written during the 1980's and are no longer readable - they've lost their magnetization due to age. Don't let this happen to your data - it could vanish for ever! Transferring it to CD or DVD not only preserves it, it also renders it more readily useable whenever you need it.
